The Power Of Media

The Power Of Media

The Boyfriend Log iPhone app (http://bit.ly/1juk2gO) launched last month and since then our dear friend, and customer, Linda Sivertsen has been on the media trail across the US. Well, don't let anyone tell you hard work isn’t the way to achieve success…

The BFL, as it has become known to the team, has been featured in the media in all corners of world — the UK’s Daily Mail, the Huffington Post, Australia’s Daily Life and the New york Times to name but a few plus many various new-app review sites; you know the kind of thing.

So what exactly did the BFL gain from all this exposure? Well, there were a couple of discernible spikes in downloads following the coverage with some interesting international slants thrown into the mix but the middle of May proved to be an exciting time for all involved with the BFL project. As an author and ghost writer, Linda loves a bit of blogging — I’ll let her tell the story in her own words…

"Doing a little happy dance around here today. We’ve been climbing the sales charts at Apple, and today we’re #5. (Last night we were at lucky #13.) This is all new to me, but I’m guessing it’s no different than book bestseller lists – meaning, it’s a good thing. More important, though, are the emails I’m getting from women (and a few men!), saying this app is a game changer for them. It’s helping them get clear. Strong. Happier. Helping them appreciate the good in their relationships, and make healthy changes when things just aren’t feeling right.

Have you’ve seen some of the press we’ve been receiving? Feeling very blessed over here. Lots more in the works, including some incredible TV shows in the fall. Yesterday was a personal dream-come-true day when the Huffington Post ran a beautiful article on the app. Of all the press we’ve received so far, that one left me giddy.

Thank you for taking this journey with me/us here at The Boyfriend Log. We’re putting the final touches on The Girlfriend Log now, and working on the Android version, too. So much to do, but so happy to be able to do it. Will keep you posted on the updates. And, follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest for more immediate news and fun things in the world of relationships".

Her words appeared in her Boyfriend Log blog which you can read at http://theboyfriendlog.com/category/blog/

Working with Linda on this project has been a blast and we are nearly as excited as her about what’s next. But this whole story and her experience entering the digital world as an app virgin, demonstrate beautifully that the real fun and hard work starts after your launch. Your app, as we say time and time again, is a product and products need selling — go get ‘em girl.

Oh, and Linda, we love you too!
